The four levels
- Risk: a signal that, on its own, says don’t use the device.
- Caution: needs the photo step or a closer look. Keep it powered off meanwhile.
- Checked: compared against a source and nothing was off. One signal, never a verdict.
- Not checked: we didn’t have the data, or it can’t be checked remotely.

The four outcomes
- Stop: a hard red flag (PIN on first boot, Genuine Check failed, pre-filled card, or a seller confirmed by an official source). Don’t power it on.
- High risk: red flags in the purchase or the box. Don’t write a seed on it.
- Unclear: no hard red flag, but open questions. Photo step next.
- No red flags in what was checked: not “clean”. Read what wasn’t checked.

Why never “clean”
Without opening the device the Gen 3 implant can’t be ruled out. Remotely we can’t prove the photos are of your unit. Genuine Check passes with this implant. Anyone who tells you a device is clean from a form and a few photos is guessing.

Every line has a source
Each finding names what it was compared against and when we read it: Ledger’s reseller directory, the official store price, the alert registry, the spec sheet. If the source is wrong or outdated, the finding is too; tell us.
