Counterspy

What to photograph, per model

The frames the AI will look at, and what Tibane Labs and Joe Grand found in the three implant generations.

1

Outside (every model)

  • Front, flat, good light, no flash.
  • Back, flat.
  • Each seam at an angle, close enough to see the edge of the shell.
  • The box label with the serial and barcode.
  • The seal, before and after opening if you can.
2

Inside, only if you decide to open it

Opening the device voids the warranty and can damage it. If you already lost funds, don’t open it: police and Ledger first, the device is evidence. If you do open it, these are the four frames we compare with the reference for your model and revision:

  • Back face of the main board.
  • The foam cavity under the screen.
  • The top edge, where a Gen 3 antenna cable would run.
  • The battery and its connector.
